The Conference “The Impact of EU research and innovation on your daily life” in Brussels on 27 November

The conference ‘The Impact of EU research and innovation on your daily life” will be organised by the European Parliament and the European Commission in Brussels on 27 November.

The conference will bring together researchers and politicians to reflect on past and present achievements. There will be panels on:

  1. Health and wellbeing
  2. Sustainable environment
  3. Putting innovation on the market
  4. Safe and secure society for all

Several EU funded projects will present their results to the wider public, two of which are funded by the NMBP programme:

Panel 1 (Health and wellbeing): MycoSynVac (from the NMBP call BIOTEC-1-2014)

This project is successfully producing an effective vaccine that treats infections in farm animals, reducing greatly the amount of antibiotics entering the food chain and causing long term damage to human health.

Panel 2 (Sustainable environment): TRASH-2-CASH (from the NMBP call NMP-18-2014)

A new model where paper and textile waste is recycled chemically resulting in fabrics that are of the same quality as new materials making products that are industrially replicable and infinitely recyclable.
