NANOfutures was successfully launched in Spain in the middle of June. The event had about 500 participants.
On the 14th June meeting of the NANOfutures Steering Committee was held, this included WG (working group) chairs and ETP representatives .
The representatives of other CSAs linked to NANOfutures were also invited to attend the meeting.
The meeting aimed at presenting a detailed description of the next NANOfutures activities.
NANOfutures will identify the key nodes in strategic nano-activities and develop strategies to address nano-technology challenges with an inter-sectorial approach. This will be achieved by a close interaction between horizontal working groups, which will address cross-sectorial horizontal issues, and sectorial group representatives (i.e. ETP representatives).NANOfutures will address cross-sector horizontal issues. Working groups will be organised under the 3 main topic areas addressed by NANOfutures: "technology", "regulation and standards" and "innovation".
